My car was severely damaged in a car accident, and the at-fault driver's insurance company did not want to pay the diminished value determined during the "umpire" phase outlined in NC General Statute 20-279.21, subsection D. Even though he doesn't normally take such cases, Alex recognized my determined commitment to make the insurance company pay what it owed.
